The Mehndi is a festive pre-wedding celebration filled with music and henna. It takes place the evening before the wedding and is one of the most joyful nights of the celebration. Come ready to have fun!
The Nikkah is the Islamic marriage ceremony, where the bride and groom are officially married in the presence of family and witnesses. It is a meaningful, religious ceremony that requires your complete attention — we kindly request that children not run around or make noise during this time. The Rukhsati follows, a heartfelt farewell as Alayna joins Ismail's family.
South Asian formal or Western formal. Shalwar kameez, sarees, lehengas, suits, and formal dresses are all welcome. No denim, please. For the Mehndi, colorful and festive attire is encouraged!
We kindly ask that gifts be unboxed for ease and simplicity, as Alayna will be moving across the country. Cash envelopes, Zelle, or Venmo are all gratefully welcomed. Thank you so much for your love and generosity.
Yes, children are welcome at both events! We know many of our guests are traveling from out of town, and we'd love for the whole family to be there. During the Nikkah ceremony, we do ask that little ones are kept quiet out of respect for the religious proceedings.
Yes, there is free parking available at both Roma Palace Banquet Hall and Frisco Hall. Both venues have on-site parking lots.
We kindly ask that all RSVPs be submitted thoughtfully and considered final. Please RSVP by July 3, 2026 to ensure arrangements are confirmed. After this date, we may be unable to accommodate changes due to final venue and vendor requirements. No last-minute cancellations for the Nikkah, please. Thank you for understanding!
We're putting together hotel recommendations for out-of-town guests and will update this section soon. Both venues are in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with many options nearby.
